Steve Bloomer, Foster Cranes live at LEEA LiftEx 2023
In a special edition of LEEA’s YouTube channel, ‘Be my Guest…’ series, Jenny Eagle speaks to Steve Bloomer, Sales Manager, Foster Cranes, about being a first time exhibitor at #LiftEx2023 in Liverpool and what he thought of the show.
With one of the largest stocks of used mobile cranes in the UK, Foster Cranes specialises in the sales, service and support of a company’s crane fleet, becoming an integral part of their business. It is the only UK dealership for Hoeflon’s compact cranes, providing handling solutions for interior and difficult-to-access areas.
LiftEx this year, was one of LEEA’s best events yet, with over 1,100 visitors over two days with more than 80 global exhibitors.
Foster Cranes decided to exhibit for the first time at #LiftEx2023 in Liverpool to announce the UK launch of the Hoeflon C6 multitool grab system, which can be folded up for transportation and even fits through an average sized front door.
“We are the dealers for Hoeflon in the UK. Everything we do is based on zero emissions, and we also have our friends at Sunbelt Rentals UK who have just bought the Hoeflon C1 which is now part of their fleet,” said Steve Bloomer, Sales Manager, Compact Cranes, Foster Cranes.
“This is our first LiftEx. We heard about the LEEA event so decided to come and so far it’s been really successful and we are delighted.”
According to Bloomer, the main challenges within the industry at the moment are price and availability of products following Brexit and the Covid outbreak.
He said Hoeflon is a small company compared to other manufacturers but their innovations are second to none and they are forward thinking. They own the smallest mobile crane in the world with zero emissions and Foster Cranes has decided to follow suit and promote the sustainability of all its products.
“It’s important for the future, for our children and grandchildren and future generations as well as the future of lifting and we hope everyone will go zero battery powered,” he said.
Talking about the new Hoeflon multitool grab system, he said customers can get forklift and glass sucker attachments fitted onto the C6, a 3-ton capacity crane which weighs 2.85t so it can fit onto the back of a trailer.
“Once it has all been folded down it can pass through a standard doorway. The Hoeflon C6 is the first multitool in the country and we’re hoping to promote it and change everyone’s thinking of lifting beams and any other items you want to lift,” said Bloomer.
