Looking forward to an unforgettable Summer Event
The LEEA Summer Event 2025 promises to be an exciting step forward for this popular annual date in the LEEA calendar. Taking place this year at Oulton Hall Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort in Yorkshire on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th July, the two-day event will be a fantastic networking opportunity for LEEA members. There will be golf competitions for all abilities, putting challenges, spa treatments, welcome drinks, a BBQ, driving range activities and an evening dinner with entertainment.
To further enhance the visit, LEEA is thrilled to announce that DAC Beachcroft, a leading law firm specialising in risk management, regulatory compliance and incident response, will be hosting an exclusive and engaging Mock Trial Experience on the afternoon of Wednesday 9th July 2025.
This exclusive, members-only event promises to be one of the most engaging and thought-provoking experiences ever hosted by the Association. The immersive session, usually costing £195 per person, is being fully-funded by LEEA for our members and their guests, reinforcing our commitment to providing high-value and impactful learning experiences. This is a valuable addition to LEEA’s Summer Event as health and safety incidents can disrupt operations, impact reputations and even threaten the financial stability of businesses.
Fortunately, the vast majority of professionals will never experience a real-life health & safety trial. However, understanding how prosecutions unfold, the pressures of giving evidence and the consequences of compliance failures can drive lasting behavioural change. The intriguing and informative Mock Trial Experience places you in the courtroom, providing the chance to gain first-hand insight into the criminal court process and to serve as a juror and deliberate on a realistic industry trial. Those taking part in the experience will learn vital lessons about compliance, risk mitigation, and corporate responsibility. Powerful, behaviour-changing insights to apply in their own organisations will be the big take away for participants.
This event is particularly beneficial for directors and senior leaders so they can understand the legal responsibilities of their role in ensuring compliance. Health & Safety professionals can gain insight into how court cases develop and how evidence is presented and scrutinised. Managers and supervisors will learn how their decisions and actions can impact legal outcomes. It will also be of value to anyone responsible for workforce safety and risk management, as they will experience a powerful, real-world scenario that can influence culture change in their organisation.
DAC Beachcroft is renowned for its expertise in managing risk and supporting organisations in preventing and responding to such incidents. More than just a learning session, the Mock Trial experience simulates the real pressures of a courtroom. It will explore scenarios involving critical risks such as working at height, chemical exposure and contractor management, making it highly relevant for LEEA members’ teams and organisations. Delegates will gain valuable insight into the criminal court process, serve as jurors in a realistic trial scenario and learn key lessons about compliance, cultural change, and risk management.
This engaging format ensures the lessons stay with participants long after the session ends, empowering cultural transformation across their organisations. Participants often describe the eye opening experience as a wake-up call – one that motivates them to embrace stronger safety and compliance practices in their daily work.
