Europa Engineering acquires Dale & Co.
The managing director of LEEA member Lifting Gear Products, a division of the Europa Engineering Group has completed her first acquisition.
Europa Engineering announced it has acquired Dale & Co. Lifting & Handling Specialists, founded in 1830, in Manchester which supplies hoists and winches, overhead cranes, lifting beams, lifting accessories, vacuum handling, pallet gates and handrail systems, and height safety products via its website DLHonline.
“This is a huge milestone for me personally being my first acquisition, and I would like to thank Jacqueline and Martin the previous owners of Dale & Co for allowing us to be trusted as the new custodians of the business,” said Ella Cheetham, MD, The Europa Engineering Group.
“I am very excited to see what this new chapter holds for me, the group and all of our team.”
Cheetham said the acquisition signifies its commitment to growth in the lifting and fabrication divisions within its group.
“It’s official, we can finally share the news that as of October 1, 2024, we have been acquired by the Europa Engineering Group,” Dale & Co. said in a statement.
“We have lots of new products, services and news we will be sharing over the coming weeks and months as we start our new journey with Europa.
“It will be business as usual for us, and we are remaining in situ on our site in Openshaw Manchester.”
Dale Lifting & Handling Specialists holds nearly 200 years of heritage and experience, allowing The Europa Group to provide overhead crane supply, installation, servicing and breakdown support; onsite inspections; load testing on and off site; lifting beam design and manufacture; Vacuum Lifters & Manipulators and more.
